The insider has named Premier League trio Javier Manquillo, Cedric Soares and Max Aarons as the three candidates currently being considered.
The other two may also be Premier League players, but Aarons seems to be the undoubted favourite among West Ham fans, judging by the replies.
He has been referred to as “superb” by one fan, while another has stated that the 19-year-old would be an “absolutely unreal signing”.
Since coming into the Premier League with Norwich City, he has played 15 games, averaging 1.4 tackles, 1.9 clearances, 0.7 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game.
As well as being a good addition on the pitch, there are fans who feel a move for the Norwich right-back would be a “signal of intent” from the board.
This stance is helped by the fact that Aarons has already been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
