Alex Hleb will put sentiment to one side when he lines up for Birmingham City against former club Arsenal when the Premier League resumes after the international break.
Hleb, who is on a season-long loan at St Andrew's from Barcelona, spent three years with the Gunners and will return to the Emirates Stadium on October 16.
"It will be very special for me," he told the club's official website."Arsenal are a fantastic team but we will still try to take maximum points.
"We're good enough and now we just need to find more confidence."
Meanwhile, Hleb has backed the Blues to emerge from their recent slump which has followed a strong start to the season.
Alex McLeish's side have failed to win any of their last five league games.
"I don't know what has been lacking," continued Hleb."It's difficult to explain but this is just football and we need to be positive.
"I'm not in shock. Of course, Birmingham are different from other teams that I've played with but the team is good, we can fight and play football.
"We need to give a little bit more but I can feel it coming, hopefully it will in the next game. This team are training fantastic and we need to bring that into the games. I'm sure a win is coming."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
